Circular tour of Spain, French Riviera and Alps

However, the following day the view from our windows was much, much better!

Just over the bank is the river and we had a lovely, circular walk along the far side

Venosc village is on a steep hillside and is filled with interesting craft shops but not much else.

To go food shopping we had to take the bubble lift up to Les Deux Alpes. The lift stopped at 7.00pm but the campsite had its own bar and restaurant.

The sun was shining, the snow was fresh and so back into those ski boots and on to the slopes!

The campsite had an arrangement with the local ski shop in Les Deux Alpes whereby we could store our skis and boots overnight. So it was an easy walk from Priscilla to the bubble lift, brief walk to the shop, change the boots and a short stumble to the ski lifts.

There were more runs than we could possibly manage in the time available and despite the fact that it was Easter it was not unpleasantly crowded and no queues for the lifts.  Lovely resort for skiing, easy access to the campsite—we would go again!

Wide, open pistes and views to die for!

If only every day in the mountains was like this.

Eventually, we had to say goodbye to Les Deux Alpes and head for home.

This was our last night in France, just outside Dieppe. A beautiful campsite beside a babbling brook. The catch was the low railway bridge with no height indication on it. Desnée said we couldn’t get through; George thought we could!  As it happened we had about 2 inches to spare so it was very nearly a smashed satellite dish and “I told you!”
